Plain Language Summary
These are the rules of using fstop. We've tried to keep them straightforward. The gist: use fstop for your photography or videography business, don't abuse the platform, pay for your subscription, and we'll keep your data safe and the service running.
Agreement to Terms
By creating an account or using Fstop CRM ("fstop", "the Service", "the Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the service. These terms are a legal agreement between you and Fstop CRM.
Who Can Use Fstop
Fstop is designed for professional photographers, videographers, and creative professionals who need a CRM for their business. To use fstop, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the authority to agree to these terms (or have authorization from someone who does)
- Provide accurate information when creating your account
- Use the platform for lawful business purposes
Your Account
You sign in to fstop using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. If someone accesses fstop through your Google account, you are responsible for any actions taken.
You may not share your account with others outside your business. Team members should be added through fstop's team management feature.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
What You Get
Your fstop subscription includes access to all features of the platform as described on our Features page and Pricing page. This currently includes:
- Unlimited clients and inquiries
- Unlimited contracts with e-signatures
- Branded email templates and email composer
- Email automations
- Invoicing and payment tracking
- Day-of timelines with golden hour and weather
- Google Calendar sync
- Form builder
- Branding suite
- Task management and editing queue
- Media library (20 GB storage)
- Team management
- All future features added to the platform
Features may be added, modified, or improved over time. We will not remove core functionality without notice.
Pricing and Billing
Subscription
Fstop offers three plans: Essentials ($19.99/mo billed yearly, or $21.99/mo billed monthly), Studio ($34.99/mo billed yearly, or $39.99/mo billed monthly), which adds client photo galleries with 250 GB of storage, and Pro ($49.99/mo billed yearly, or $59.99/mo billed monthly), which includes 1 TB of gallery storage. Every CRM feature is included on every plan. There are no per-user fees.
Members who subscribed before these plans existed keep their original price for as long as their subscription remains active.
Free Trial
New accounts start with a 7-day free trial of the CRM. Client photo galleries are not part of the trial and require an active paid Studio or Pro subscription. At the end of the trial, you can subscribe to continue using fstop or let the trial expire.
Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically each billing period (monthly or yearly, depending on the billing option you choose). You will be charged on the same date each period (or the closest available date if the month is shorter).
Gallery Storage
Gallery storage limits are 250 GB on Studio and 1 TB on Pro. If your account reaches its storage limit, existing galleries remain available to you and your clients; you will need to free up space or upgrade to add new photos.
Price Changes
If we change the price of your plan, we will give you at least 30 days' notice before the new price takes effect. You can cancel before the new price applies.
Cancellation
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. When you cancel:
- You retain full access until the end of your current billing period
- You are not charged again after cancellation
- There are no cancellation fees
Refunds
We do not offer automatic refunds for partial months. If you feel you were charged unfairly or there was a billing error, email us at hello@fstopcrm.com and we'll work it out. We're reasonable people.
Your Data
You Own Your Data
Everything you create in fstop — client records, contracts, emails, invoices, branding, timelines, media — belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership or intellectual property rights over your content.
Your Clients' Data
When your website visitors submit inquiries through fstop-connected forms, you are the data controller for that information. You are responsible for handling your clients' personal data in compliance with applicable privacy laws. Fstop processes this data on your behalf as a data processor.
Data Export
You can export your data while your account is active. If you need help exporting data, contact us at hello@fstopcrm.com.
Data After Cancellation
After your subscription ends, your data is retained for 30 days. This gives you time to resubscribe if you change your mind. After 30 days, your data is permanently deleted. If you want your data deleted immediately upon cancellation, email us and we'll process it within 7 business days.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use fstop for its intended purpose: managing your photography or videography business. You may not:
- Use fstop to send spam, unsolicited bulk emails, or phishing messages
- Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Use the platform for illegal activities
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform
- Resell or redistribute access to fstop
- Use fstop to store content that is illegal, abusive, or violates others' rights
- Exceed the 20 GB media storage limit through automated uploads or abuse
Contracts and E-Signatures
Fstop provides tools to create, send, and sign contracts. The contracts you create are between you and your clients. Fstop is not a party to those contracts and is not liable for their content or enforceability.
E-signatures collected through fstop are intended to be legally binding under the ESIGN Act and UETA. However, legal requirements vary by jurisdiction. If you need legal advice about your contracts, consult an attorney.
We store signed contracts and provide them as downloadable PDFs. We do not provide legal advice.
Email Sending
Emails sent through fstop are sent via your connected Gmail account. You are responsible for the content of emails you send. You must comply with applicable email laws including CAN-SPAM. Do not use fstop to send spam or unsolicited marketing emails to people who have not opted in.
Availability and Uptime
We aim to keep fstop available 24/7, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. Occasionally, the service may be unavailable due to:
- Scheduled maintenance (we will try to notify you in advance)
- Unplanned outages from our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel, AWS)
- Circumstances beyond our control
We do not offer a formal SLA at this time. If there is a significant outage, we will communicate with affected users via email.
Limitation of Liability
Fstop is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- We are not liable for loss of profits, data, or business opportunities arising from your use of fstop
- Our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim
This limitation applies whether the claim is based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold fstop harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:
- Your use of the platform
- Content you create, upload, or send through fstop
- Contracts between you and your clients
- Your violation of these terms or applicable law
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of fstop after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation first. If that fails, disputes will be resolved in the courts of the state where fstop is operated from.
